Theft From Motor Vehicles – Please Be Vigilant

We have recently seen a number of theft from motor vehicles at various times in the Dewsbury East area, particularly around Chickenley.

We are asking all residents to please remain alert and take simple steps to protect your property:

 Always lock your vehicle, even if leaving it for a short time

 Do not leave any valuables in plain sight (phones, bags, wallets, tools, loose change, etc.)

 Ideally, remove all valuables from your vehicle overnight

 Park in a well-lit area or where possible, in view of CCTV

 Double-check doors and windows are fully secure

Opportunistic thieves will target vehicles that look easy to access or contain visible items.
